An active shooter has been reported at the Santa Fe High School. All that has been reported at this time. Hi-way 6 shut down school on lockdown.
Texas LTC Instructor, NRA pistol instructor, RSO, NRA Endowment Life , TSRA, Glock enthusiast (tho I have others)
Knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit, wisdom is knowing not to add it to a fruit salad.

5-6 shot, including police officer. (not confirmed)

My son has an employee that received a call from his child that is there. I was on phone with him, when employee called and said he had to leave. Of course, he was told to go.

Our nephew attends the school and was a few rooms down the hall. He and others hid in a closet and he is safe, but he told his mother some of his friends were hurt. Hopefully not among the fatalities, but odds aren't looking good. His mother was coming home from work and thought she was getting stopped as a patrol car came speeding up behind her and passed, followed by several more. My wife spoke to her when she called to say her son was OK. Truly evil exists and has come to us.

Witnesses said the gunman entered an art class Friday morning and opened fire with what appeared to be a shotgun.

A house near the school has been cordoned by LEO; not sure why. Harris County sheriff interviewed now: says possibly 8 to 10 fatalities. One in custody, one person of interest. Both students at the school.
