This young woman was a close friend of one of my nephews who is also attending UNT. It's been difficult for many of them. I hope they catch her murderers soon and they have to face her family and friends and justice.
I am not and have never been a LEO. My avatar is in honor of my friend, Dallas Police Sargent Michael Smith, who was murdered along with four other officers in Dallas on 7.7.2016.

Yea, the anti gun folks are calling the shooter "one of the NRA's good guys with a gun". How can you even associate thugs riding around at 2am harassing motorist with law abiding citizens legally carrying a firearm for protection.

Because it fits their broken narrative and they lack sufficient honor to be truthful.KC80 wrote:Yea, the anti gun folks are calling the shooter "one of the NRA's good guys with a gun". I am not a lawyer. This is NOT legal advice.!

I know way too many people personally affected by this monster. I hope he gets full sentencing, and I wish that the requirements for capital punishment would wrap around the heinous acts he committed.

Conceivably they could charge him with Capital Murder, depending on the circumstances.jb2012 wrote:I know way too many people personally affected by this monster. I hope he gets full sentencing, and I wish that the requirements for capital punishment would wrap around the heinous acts he committed.
4/13/1996 Completed CHL Class, 4/16/1996 Fingerprints, Affidavits, and Application Mailed, 10/4/1996 Received CHL, renewed 1998, 2002, 2006, 2011, 2016...). "ATF... Uhhh...heh...heh....Alcohol, tobacco, and GUNS!! Cool!!!!"
Re: TX: Coed at UNT and the designated driver murdered in Denton New Years Eve
I hope he did not have a CHL. RIP, such a shame. May he ROT in hell. The news report I saw said he was a Marine. I suspect gang affiliation personally.

I attend UNT, and sadly this is the second death in recent weeks. This tragedy has created a ton of controversy on social media. One of the lowlifes in the car with the shooter sent this message to a friend of the victim. What an idiot. Unbelievable...

And a Marine to boot. So sad. He may get the death penalty.

If the shooter's eligible, I think they all are. Isn't there something about all participants in a felony being guilty of the same crime?C-dub wrote:And a Marine to boot. So sad. He may get the death penalty.
You'd think a marine would know better than to have friends like that.
I am not a lawyer, nor have I played one on TV, nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, nor should anything I say be taken as legal advice. If it is important that any information be accurate, do not use me as the only source.

Yes sir accessory to murder. From what I have been told, the maring IS the bad friend for the other guys to have. Regardless they are all trash; they were yelling extremely inappropriate things at the girls in the car.Dave2 wrote:If the shooter's eligible, I think they all are. Wow! What pathetic scum. I hope he gets the maximum sentence allowed by law. I seen on the news that someone said, "he made a mistake." No he is a murder plain and simple if he is the one that was involved.northexpedition wrote:I attend UNT, and sadly this is the second death in recent weeks. that needs to read as JARHEAD! or possibly JUGHEAD! I have been seeing more and more reports of thugs in the military, some of them are actually sent by the gangs to learn military tactics so as to bring them back into the streets to make the gang better at removing the competition, police and making them better at causing victimizationDave2 wrote:If the shooter's eligible, I think they all are. It depends if they were in commission of another crime.Dave2 wrote:If the shooter's eligible, I think they all are. Isn't there something about all participants in a felony being guilty of the same crime?C-dub wrote:And a Marine to boot. So sad. He may get the death penalty.

Example:
If you and I rob a store and you shoot the clerk, we're both on the line for the murder.
If you and I are just riding down the street on the way to Home Depot and doing nothing wrong, but out of nowhere and without me having any knowledge you pull a gun a shoot someone on the sidewalk...They would have a hard time putting anything on me.
