CHL renewal forms.

The new legislation covering CHL application and renewals was passed on 1-Sept-2013 (18 days ago) but the forms reflecting the up-dates are not available. I need to submit a renewal application. Any ideas?

The online system is updated. Just go here and enter your informaiton and go through the process https://txapps.texas.gov/txapp/txdps/chl/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

No need for a class at all.

That website/process still asks for a social security number, doesn't address veteran status or the reduced fees [Veteran=$25.00]..

The SSN thing goes into effect 1-1-2014, the website does charge $25 for Veteran.

I just filled the renewal application online and i got the following message after I completed payment:

Complete the Application Process
YOUR REQUEST IS NOT COMPLETE until all required materials and documents on your checklist are received by TxDPS.

I thought nothing was needed since they will use the same picture and fingerprints. Does anyone know what other documents in need to provide?

Yes,you must send in your checklist or call & verbally tell DPS you paid online for your renewal. The system is not a automatic, so you have to notify them that you've paid online. They have to manually put you in progress.
