Why are there no gun ranges in Grayson county?

There is an indoor range called Red River on the Parkway in Sherman but no other public ranges in the county.
There was a place in Denison but the let the lease expire and the neighbors bought it out from under them. Ralph's Range was shut down for political and surrounding growth reasons.

The little range in Fink is gone also.
Anyone know of any other ranges o[en in the county.

My money is on people having contacts with people with land.

Why? Because the potential incremental profit of operating a range vs other possible land uses is not worth any potential liability or regulatory headaches.
But I'm thinking that might have been a rhetorical question....

You just need to call and make an appointment. Been there once, good range, hopefully will grow and get more areas setup. Real friendly people. I do suggest going.
Also, if you're into matches, there's a range called North Texas Shooters Association that is a private range, but they do have matches every Saturday where guests are permitted. There's a iron sights only carbine match this weekend. Not Grayson, but kinda close.
