Why, pray tell, did you give up and not renew your membership to Frisco Guntry Club?

Too expensive, or something else?

Rockwall has a Guntry Club too, but I haven't heard any comments about it.

$20,000 membership? I don't care what the perks are, that's dumb.

Price wasn't a problem was about the same as anywhere, problem was never being able to get a lane unless I planned in advance and reserved one. They put time limits to members on pistol and rifle ranges plus no steel case ammo which limited my choices when it came to surplus c&r items.
and the "store" pretty much disappeared so there just wasn't much benefit to me anymore

Last year I renewed online then when I go in next they tried to charge me a lane fee and keep my card I had to sit there and insist I renewed online while they figure out after calling over 3 people that the system wasn't updated ....that day pretty well made the decision easy for me I lost patience and just let the year ride out

They'll have a lower price yearly for us common folk I'm sure
For 20k I'll just buy land and make my own range

Wow, I never would have expected anyone to have the hassles you did.
I figured for the money one pays, lane availability should have been easy.

The yearly platinum price was like $450 so on par with everyone, they have tons of lanes but get very busy and also reserve a bunch for classes. The people who buy those guntryclub memberships get the cafe and a private entrance to private lanes...those are the pricey ones

For $150 more at my range, I get 4 large rifle bays and 6 pistol bays, a 100 yd and 200 yd sight-in range, a 500 yard unknown distance range, and a 1200 rifle yard range range.......and none of that pesky ventilation or sissy air conditioning.......just the nice clean rural outdoors......
