Garland Gun Range has resolved their issue with Rowlet and is now open for all rifle calibers. Still no FMJ though.

The last few times out there, business seemed really slow and this Sunday was the slowest I think I have ever seen it. Don't know if its the ammo shortage, the caliber restriction (now removed), one of the last weekends before school starts, or what. Maybe all of the above. They've gone up to $15, but you can shoot rifle, pistol and shotgun all day for $15 bucks. Its pretty plain, no fancy club room or snack bar, but the ROs run a good safe range without being over bearing and we always have a lot of fun every time we go out there.

Give them a try if they are in your neck of the woods. I'd like to see them stay around for long time.

Do you mean no FMJ for rifle calibers? Agreed, if its no FMJ for pistol calibers, have fun finding customers.

EDIT: Is this the range? If so then no FMJ RIFLE ammunition (the same as its sister range in Austin).

The Full Metal Jacket (FMJ) restriction at the Garland Range is only for rifles.

I've never heard of any such a restriction on pistols at any range.
