Greetings--

One tip I have is VENTILATE !!!

My major complaint about most indoor ranges I have shot at is the air quality. I"d have to say that Top Gun in HOU is one of the better ventilated ranges I've visited. Even then, I still smell and taste the "pollutants" after a couple hours' shooting there. But again its not as bad as many !! I believe someone there told me their systems exchange the air every 70 sec (but don't quote me on that ).

Also, consider the design of at least one area that will support action-type shooting.

We're around Baytown a good bit-- It would be nice to have a close location to go shoot a bit.

GOOD ventilation is key..
well lit target areas

really want to get a lot of repeat business?
offer a decent membership so they can shoot a lot

offer the abolity to rapid fire
maybe even a sealed off area where only one shooter can be in there at a time to minimize risks and you have to be a member and prove you are safe and know what you are doing

do some FUN stuff
we did a bowling pin shoot a few years back, man, that was FUN!

offer reasonable ammo prices, even if it's a loss leader to get people in there to shoot more and if you sell guns, sell used ones too and let people try them out, if they buy, no rental fee..

offer a decent selection of sought after guns for rent for people to try out

I know it's a business and you have got to be able to cover expenses and eat too. so.. all of the above would be expensive

but, look around your area and compare, find out the common compaints and fix them..
