I was at Cabela's Gun Library today and was talking with one of the sales people there. We were talking about what he had coming in and the Ed Brown Special Forces .45 I bought from them. He said that work is being done for the gun range that was touted before and said that it is not far from completion. Has anyone heard this. I may go to lunch up there today and nose around.

Which Cabela's are you talking about?

Re: Advanced Gunworks
I believe he means the Fort Worth Cabelas: http://www.advancedgunworks.com/.
That particular range has been a rumor for so many years now that I had discounted it as being a reality. Lot's of prospectus—http://www.advancedgunworks.com/shootingclub.php—but nothing yet in the way of implementation......and this rumor goes back to roughly 2008.

I live right close to where the "supposed" range was going to be built and the land is as empty as it's always been. Unless they are building in a different place which they well could be it's still not a reality. You can go to the website and see if there is an update. Just google their name.
Their current offices are over in the Alliance warehouse area so it's possible they are having a warehouse built out to meet their needs instead of a stand alone building.

Re: Advanced Gunworks
I really didn't think so...But it sure would be nice to have a really, REALLY nice range close to Fort Worth. I would love to have the time to put in a gun range with standard lanes, active shooter, steel plates also pneumatics etc... Anyone want to go in halves?
