William "Bill" James who is the owner and founder of The Arms Room indoor gun range passed away Friday, August 24th around 200pm after a five year fight with cancer. Gun world lost a true patriot as Mr. Bill was an ardent supporter of our 2A rights and responsibilities and will be sorely missed. The Arms Room will be closed Tuesday, August 28th (GSSF shooters pass the word please) for the funeral, details will follow as I know them. God speed Mr. Bill.

I'm shocked and saddened to hear of Bill's passing. I always enjoyed talking to him at the Arms Room. He taught me a lot of things and was always good for a laugh, too - he could be a very funny man. There are a lot of shooters on the south side of Houston thankful for having the Arms Room as a pleasant place to spend a few hours.

Thoughts and prayers go out to his family from ours.

He taught me how to properly shoot my first K98 which I bought from his shop.
He will be missed.
