PSC / The cat is on the roof

#1

Post by tomneal »

PSC is doing some road work. We are paving the road from the gate to the barn as-well-as a little on the inside the range roads.
This week, our contractor has done a lot of work on the underlayment / base of the road but will not finish before the weekend as planned. He believes he needs two or three more days to complete the work. We have scheduled it for Monday through Wednesday but we are concerned about the damage that this weekend’s traffic might cause to the uncompleted road.

If you can skip this weekend it would be a big help to the range.

If you can’t skip this weekend, please drive 5 MPH down the main road. We don’t want to damage the work that’s already been done.

Please note,
The directors are still discussing our options.
When we are done, “It’s gonna be great!”
But
Even though we are loath to close the range on a weekend…
We might need to.

Your cooperation will help greatly.

Thanks for your consideration.

See you at the range JUST NOT THIS WEEKEND.

I say go ahead and close it, no need to take the chance of causing damage to it. I doubt if people will keep the speed under 5 mph, they had a problem before keeping it under 15 before.

PSC Range is going to be closed this weekend.
By mid week, we should have a paved road but for now, we need to close the road (and the range) to protect our investment.

Good move to close it. No sense in risking damage after an investment like that. I will be excited to see the finished product. PSC is the best range I have ever seen let alone been a member of. The board has made some major improvements in the five short years I have belonged. Great work!

BTW.....Impact Zone is hosting a three gun match tomorrow if you need some trigger time. :fire

The orientation is being scheduled. Everyone that was signed up for that orientation will get one or more chances to go through another orientation. We are not going to force them to signup for one in the distant future.

Two things
The Orientation is being REscheduled.

The contractor predicts an 18:00 Wednesday 6/15/2011 reopening of the road.

New prediction.

PSC will be back up and running Saturday morning.

We want to give the asphalt overnight to cool.

It appears to be open now.

I went to http://www.psc-range.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
then the camera link
I logged on as 'guest' with no password
there are shooters on range 1.
Range 2 is empty.
