PSC Question - Least Busy?

#1

Post by terryg »

It is shameful really. I have been living in Alvin for 14 years and just joined PSC tonight - finally. :thewave

Can anyone tell me when the pistol bays are least likely to be in use? I want to be a quiet as possible when I take my wife.

Thanks in advance ...

Welcome to the club! Been a member for a few years now. I avoid the place on weekends. Have almost always found that on weekday mornings the place is fairly empty and can get a pistol bay to myself.

When I go over after work, evenings, there is less people there.
Through May, I think the stop-shooting time is 7:30, so depending on how long you want to shoot, head over there with enough time to finish by 7:30, you will generally find it the most quiet.
I took a couple friends over their last Thursday at 6pm, we got there, there was 1 rear pistol range in use (the steel target on the right most end), so there was the front (10 yard) open, as well as all of the other back pistol bays open.

on the long gun ranges, I didn't see but maybe 1 vehicle.
By 6:30, we were the only ones (making noise) on all of the ranges.

There are currently 2 people on the Pistol Bays. One on each plate rack bay.
See you at the range

Not the morning of the 4th Saturday of the month if you want it quiet, but definitely go then for the IDPA.

Thanks to all. It looks like my best option will be as Teamless suggest and hit it just after work on the weekdays. If we can both sneak out of work a little early one day, all the better. :thumbs2:

Thanks again!

The only thing I miss about shift work. I used to really enjoy going out there on weekday mornings.

I apologize in advance, but this is too easy to miss.

They will be their quietest this weekend.
