What you're talking about is the Galveston Rifle and Pistol Club: http://www.galvestonrifleandpistolclub.com/. It's members-only, $60 per year. I don't know anything else about it.

For anyone interested in joining the Galveston Rifle and Pistol Club, now would be the best time since the memberships run January to December.

I don't think they pro-rate as the months go by.

If anyone is interested, I would be happy to show you around the place. I'm in Galveston 5 days a week and sometimes even on the weekend. It's a member club and only members can shoot. You can bring guests, but they cannot shoot.

Mrs. Casey and I just joined. We sent our application in November and got membership cards for the remainder of this year and next year.

It's small but has the essentials: 15-yard pistol, 150-yard rifle, covered benches, a trap house, and a manual thrower for clay pigeons. The throwers may or may not be functional, but I intend to repair them.

If anyone is interested, you can send me a private message or e-mail as well.

Thanks. Look for a tall, skinny guy with a pony tail, and a petite redhead. Here are a couple of photos.
