Anyone know of any place in Hays County where one can shoot? The closet I can think of is Reds Indoor range in south Austin which is about 30 miles from where I live but it is located in a real traffic congested area and I don't like to drive up there unless I have to. Thanks

Not in Hays but Lone Star Gun Range (http://www.ctxpta.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) is in Caldwell county. Lockhart to be exact. Got my CHL there from Ross and Dottie Bransford.

Yes, there is a Great Place that is just outside of the Kyle City Limits off of 150.
It i an outdoor Range open to the public, but it is just one group of shooters at a time so the place "is yours" while you are there.
That means there are things you can do cannot be done in busy public ranges like shoot whatever distance you want and not have to conform to where the other 20 people are shooting from.
He has many steel plates, a swinging Hostage Target and 2 "Dueling Poles". :fire

go to http://www.haysshooting.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
or Call Tim @ 512-940-8897

Let him know that Daryl sent you :patriot:

Darn, I have a hard time keeping up with threads posted in the same day. Got to give him credit, he must have been using the search feature.

Looked at their site, and it does sound interesting.

Guess I'll have to look up Hayes county. Guessing its not near McKinney.
