I don't even know how to start this.....

As some of you know the range has been under attack the last week. The
attacks are coming from Hays County, the neighbors and the new
landowner.

They are using everything within (and outside)their power to shut us
down. After discussing our situation with several people including
legal counsel. It has become apparent that this range is no longer
viable for our use. Legal counsel has advised me that a big part of
their plan is burying us in litigation....legitimate or not.

After spending one of the worst weeks in my life agonizing over
this. With much regret, we have decided to shut the range down. We
think it is the best thing for us and all of our friends and
shooters. We decided that the money we would have spent on legal fees
will be better spent on trying to find a new and better place. "Live
to fight another day!"

The range will be closed at 5pm on Sunday September 10th 2006

I want to apologize to everyone. I know alot of people were counting
on me concerning this range. If I thought that we could make it work
I would've fought tooth and nail. It is obvious that it would have
been be a losing battle.

I also want to thank everyone who helped make Texas Tactical what it
is. A big thank you to all of our supporters over the years. We really
really appreciate y'all!

We also want to thank Sheldon who has been investigating and
tirelessly working on this since last Friday. THANK YOU SHELDON!

On a positive note we will do everything in our power to open a new
and better range in the future.

It has been suggested that we should have one
last match before the range shuts down on Sunday.

It has also been suggested that it be a
fundraising match for building a new range. We
thought this was a good idea. So the "suggested"
match fee will be $25 if you want to pay more
great. If you want to pay the regular match fee
that is fine too. As always thank y'all for your
support!!

Texas Tactical will be putting on our **LAST**
IDPA Match this Sunday September 10th at the Texas
Tactical Range between Austin and San Antonio.
Bring a friend or two or 3 and introduce them to
all the fun! Everyone is welcome!

There will be shade in each bay and plenty of
cold water!!
