Great Place.

After many months of long work hours I finally made it out to the GTGC in Beaumont.

I must say, I do so enjoy the private club experience.

First, I finally ran a box of 230 fmj through my Kimber UCII Stainless. It is a fine piece of workmanship. No failures. I will put it through a torture test prior to ccarrying it, but I expect great things.

Second, I ran a box of Winchester +P through a new (used) S&W 642 38 spec that Papalote located for me. I bought one for Mrs. Anygun some time ago, and really liked the wheelgun but couldn't bring myself to pay retail. Papalote found one at Triangle Pawn in Beaumont and called me. We was rained out at work. I managed to talk the pawnster down a tad and walked out with the 642 for $310. It has a few marks on the grip heel from a glove box but shoots great.

Next I shot the Browning A-5 Light 12 I picked up for a steal. Shot fine. I will deliver to a gunsmith for a complete teardown when I return to League City. I cleaned it as good as I could but I fear it has a lot of mung in it from years of abuse.

Next was an 870 Remington riot I picked up in Baytown for a meager sum. It has a magazine extension which looks kewl. Shot a few boxes of (dang) 3" 000 buckshot.

Next was a Winchester 1300 riot I picked up in Baytown as well. Shot a few boxes of (dang again) 3" 000 buckshot.

Last was my Stainless mini-14. I love to shoot that toy.

Any of you in the Beaumont area that want a place to shoot, GTGC is the place.

I can't wait to finish this project. I have been delaying joining PSC too long. The private gun club is nice.

My dad has been a member there ever since I can remember. It's a nice club.
