Bummer when you can't get range time. You've GOT to come join us on Halloween morning - it'll get you SOME trigger time.

I share your frustration, Bro. It's become a rich land-owner's sport. Even starting up a club and spreading the cost members takes way too much initial investment for us average joes to afford.
Thanks to a litigious society and the insane regulation imposed by the feds the only people who can keep their skills at ready level are law enforcement and military folk. Isn't it interesting that that's exactly how an authoritarian government would want it?

I know of a place but it's a bit of a drive. Far south east corner of Dallas Co. Not really a range but you can shoot what ever you want how ever you want. Shoot me a PM if you want more info.

You should get on the DPC waiting list in the meantime as well... it's a great club and I really enjoy it, especially since it's only about 7 minutes from my home.

Jacob's Plain is out by Greenville but has a 100 yard rifle range and several bays where you can practice drawing, shooting while moving etc.

Only .22LR caliber.
They do meet the other criteria.

Wow! Didn't realize it would be totally different around the metroplex.
Guess I got spoiled with the San Angelo Gun Club range with its multiple rifle ranges and, in effect, one's choice of a "personal" pistol range out of about a dozen bermed ranges---just set up in an empty range and have at it. Annual membership fee got one a 24/7 key to the gun range. From what I read on this subject in the DFW area makes me realize 'this ain't West Texas!" Disappointing so far.
