Thought this would be of some interest. Beretta USA is hosting a Range Day on July 15th all around the nation. They'll be giving away a 90-two at each of the ranges. They're advertising their new 90-two pistol and offering a free peek and the opportunity to shoot it for free. Here's the sites they'll be holding it at:

At Risk Tactical Solutions is opening a new range in Greenville off 380. It's about 45 min or so from Plano. Not too bad for what they offer. The range has a 300 yd rifle, 50yd and 270 degree tactical shooting area. The range is primarily dedicated to LEO training, but it's open to the public. They also offer courses but I didn't get info yet. I thought I'd go in person and see what they have to offer. Right now, their hours are going to be 8am-6pm Mon-Fri and they're not positive yet, but they'll be open sat and maybe sun. Unsure of weekend hours. They have ammo on site, but won't have the merchandise up and going for a little while. Forgot to ask about fees. That's a big one, sorry. I'm just thrilled at what's offered so far. Here's their info. Also, they're hosting Beretta Range Day on July 15th to allow shooters a free hands on shoot/look at the new Beretta line-up. (as shown above)

WOw, drove by the place the other day....you'd never know there was a 300yd range there. The front looks like a small business. IT's actually their classroom if I recall correctly. Awesome setup. I'm looking forward to going out there.

Anyone planning on going out to the range in Greenville? If not, I'll be glad to take home that new Beretta pistol.....
Should be some good fun......and free ammo to boot. Not sure if they've added to it, but the range area had NO cover whatsoever. I hope they've built some benches or an overhang or something since my last visit. It'll be one HOT day if not.
I'll probably be wearing my white Beretta hat if anyone makes it and wants to meet up.

According to the ad, they'll have the 90-Two, PX4 and CX4 available to shoot for free. I've got the PX4/CX4 combo and am more interested in the 90-Two. Seems more like a cosmetically changed 92FS so I'm wanting to check it out on the range. I've heard Beretta is coming out with a PX4 compact as well so I want to see what info I can get out of the Rep. while I'm there.

I hope the lines aren't too bad. I'd hate to stand in line for an hour to shoot 10 rounds.

It'll be 100+ degrees. I don't think anybody is going to be standing for a whole hour.
While I love my 92FS and am a Beretta fan in general, I don't think I'm going to make this one. It does sound like fun so if anyone goes, please post a report.

100+ degrees?? I'm a loyal Beretta fan, but not crazy. Hopefully they work something out. I know the rifle range is blacktop all the way out. That's going to be one hot area. The pistol ranges have no cover. Looks like tons of sunscreen and a big hat.

I'm not enough of a Beretta fan to endure that kind of heat for a few shots.

Stopped in at the Greenville Range......at 9:30 this morning....a little early. I was wrong about the rifle range...it's just black dirt, not blacktop. We went ahead and shot my PX4/CX4 on the range until they were ready to start. I was a little dissappointed . The range was good and the staff at the range was excellent. There was no Beretta Rep (not really expected) but the 90-Two was more of a 90-redo. Not bad overall, but I feel it's not THAT much of an improvement over the original 92.
I was very disappointed about the PX4 Constant action. It's inability for a second strike will prevent me from getting one of those. It's almost like a single double action. If I were to get a misfire, I'd have to rack the slide other than pulling the trigger again. Don't like that or the fact that the trigger pull was worse tham my own PX4. Maybe it would loosen up a bit, but I wasn't impressed. Then again, I have a D Spring in mine.
However, it was nice of Beretta and the Range to supply us with free hats, a few mags of ammo and handouts. The Binelli shotgun was great as well. No CX4's on hand either. I wanted to try out the .45 CX4. They were also supposed to have a Tikka in 5.56 but it wasn't there. Maybe later in the day or something. Overall still a good day. Even got a T-shirt while I was there.

The one at Alpine Range in Fort Worth had 3 Beretta guys. I got there and there was only one other "customer". I shot the 90Two, the 92FS, the Px4 and the Cx4Storm. I like the idea of being able to change the grips. Also the Px4 magazines can be used in the Cx4. Neat feature if you own both.
Alpine Range wasn't too hot. It's just outside the city so there was a nice cool breeze. I'd go again if they have another one.

Man, I knew I should've gone to Alpine. The Rep. from APG must have gone there instead. I had a few questions I would have liked to have answered. The only CX4 at the place was mine (shares mags with my PX4) but I wasn't about to offer it up for an all day shoot. A bit disappointing, but still a good time. Beats working. Pretty good bunch of guys there too. There was a man and his son there....his son was a pretty good shot and appeared to know quite a bit about firearms and exhibited excellent self discipline. Obviously, his father has done well teaching him about firearms. That was nice to see.
Beretta day at Carter's Country

We went to Carter's Country we and were among the first to try the pistols, so we were able to shoot about 3 magazines in each pistol. There was only one Beretta rep and he was very nice and helpful, but he was swamped just loading magazines.
The 90-Two was in 9mm and is a good pistol. It appears that this is an attempt at updating the Model 92. Functioning was very good.
The Px4 Storm was in .40 S&W with the medium backstrap, only. This was a sweet handling pistol. The Beretta rep showed us the rotating barrel and told us that he's been told a compact version will come out, then he added, "we hope".
The Cx4 Storm carbine was in 9mm and was real fun to shoot. At first he had is set up on the 50 yard range. With peep sights and no spotting scope, most of us were shooting good groups, but way high. Later, he moved the carbine to the pistol range and people were making one ragged hole. This example had the vented barrel shroud, forward pistol grip and folding bipod.
