I go to Hot Wells...it's on 290 about 5 miles north of FM1960/Hwy 6.
Not the nicest range but they charge $6 per gun and you can shoot all day. Additional targets are $1 per pair. There is no "per-person" charge.

What do you think of Carter's Country in Spring? I was there a while back and found it to be really crowded. I wasn't too keen on everyone having to hand carry their weapons in the store, un-cased, either. Fellow behind me dropped his pistol in the floor.Boma wrote:I know of carter's country.

I went and shot at Carter's Country around noon. So there were few people there. I brought my gun in my range bag and they didn't have a problem with it, they just had to see it to put a pink tag on it.
I put my gun down during cease fire. Everyone that I saw at the time put theirs down as well.
I think it's because it's a public range. Some people have been thought the etiquette ;I'm sure some have not.
I was lucky enough to have someone teach me ( 60 year old, raised around guns).
I may not have known that etiquette if I bought my first gun on my own and took it to the range. I guess we could just nicely tell them =)
The dude that had a bunch of pistols on his fingers need to be informed not to do that.
