Just a heads up about a local range. Those in the Golden Triangle area that are looking for an alternative to shooting in the heat outside at any of the outdoor ranges have an alternative. Lone Star Gun Range in Lumberton,Texas is an indoor range with a 25 yard handgun range with 5 or 6 lanes,and will be opening the 50 yard rifle range very soon. They offer CHL classes almost every weekend, and in general are good folks to deal with. I took the CHL class there a couple of weeks ago,and have been out there for practice a couple of times. Reasonable rates on range fees, a good selection of targets, and their ammo prices are great compared to others in the area. They also have various rental guns and a fairly good selection of new guns for purchase.
