Wow. It has been almost a week since we had our BBQ with STI. We at Shiloh just wanted to take a step back and say thank you to all the wonderful folks from this and other forums who helped us have such a great event! If you were not able to make it out, don't worry, we will be having another in the future, as we did not anticipate such a great turn out with such a great bunch of shooter's! Only 3 hangers got shot ALL DAY! Those of you who are regulars here know that that is an anomoly. A normal Saturday usually calls for at least a dozen extra hangers! That is truly a testament to show that practice is NECESSARY and the 1 percent that do practice are far better prepared if they are required to utilize their CHL. We wanted to thank all of you that help so much in the planning, preparation, and execution of the event. Ngoc (htxred) , Thank you so much for your promotion of the event and your dedication to the range. Thank you for also putting up with the constant harrassment! Erika ( Ngoc's wifeunit ) thank you for putting up with us AND letting us steal your husband for a couple of weeks (although if your anything like my wife, you would be thanking us for getting him out of the house!). .308nato and wifeunit, thank you for the promotion and the hard work slaving away in the kitchen. Ya'll can bring food over any time! Skiprr, thank you so much for your donations for the party. You had perfect timing as we had just run out plasticware and people started asking for chicken, you saved the bbq! Thank you for all the kind words of encouragement also. For those of you that have not had the pleasure of meeting Skiprr, he is one hell of a great guy. Chris from Talon Arms, thank you for bringing all the cool toys brother, I have never seen a roomful of beards and mustaches laughing like and giddy as 12 year old school girls! We welcome you out ANYTIME! Comp-Tac, thank you for providing quality holsters for the fine firearms circulating around the range! Not to mention Gregg's fine instruction. Travis from Austin and your buddy with the camera ( sorry, I knew I would forget one name...) thank you for traveling out here, we hope you guys had a great time and thank you for the pics and the review. Ya'll are welcome anytime and lanes are on us next time since you travel so far. Just stop shooting the hangers Travis! John Byrd, thank you for your prowess over the pit, the food was awesome! And I will return your garden hose, I promise! Rickie S. Thank you for all that Deer Sausage, man I thought you werent coming back when you left. That stuff was about to go home with me! Rabbit and Albert from STI brought out the enitre line of fine Texas made 1911's and 2011's. The general one word concensus was PHENOMONAL! Everyone who shot one definitely wanted one! Thank you for making the trip and providing everyone fine, quality firearms to make noise with! If there is anyone out there that we forgot, we apologize, we will get you next time! We look forward to doing it again and would love input if anyone has ideas for the next event!
