BBQ at Shiloh with S.T.I. moved to 4-26-08!
Well guys, I need to inform everyone that we had to move the meet and greet BBQ to 4-26-08 so our friends over at S.T.I., makers of the world famous true-Texan 1911, can join us all for the fun and food! Rabbit and the guys at S.T.I. are bringing over a truck-load of 1911's for everybody to try out and fall in love with! If you decide that you must have one we can order on site! So pack up the guns and come on down to Shiloh on the 26th! ALL DAY SHOOTING AND BBQ EXTRAVEGANZA!
Target hangers are not targets.

Thats awesome, i was seriously stoked when jeff told me the news, i've invited the people over at texas gun talk as well. I cant wait, Its going to be a grand ol event.
honestly i cant wait for the food, showing jeff how to shoot a STI comes a close second though. lol
and continuing from the other thread, just a reminder, feel free to bring whatever you feel like contributing or feel could be of some use.
(list from previous thread)
htxred (ngoc/knock) + wife - case of bottled water, burger patties, buns, and my charming personality
308nato + wife - 1 pot of good beans, 1 large folding table, 4 folding chairs
Skiprr - case of bottled water, chicken to grill, paper plates, plastic utensils, paper towels (and maybe a couple of door prizes)

Re: BBQ at Shiloh with S.T.I. moved to 4-26-08!
Making it an all-day deal with STI contributing some "fun stuff" sounds like the perfect addition! There are a few STI's I'd love to shoot, foremost among 'em the Eagle 5.0 and the VIP. Less likely to buy, but would also love to shoot the Edge and USPSA Double Stack...heck, even a TruBor iff'n Rabbit brings one. ![Smile ](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
The only deal with the 26th for me is that Saturdays can be iffy as to whether I have to work or not. Too, the 26th is IDPA at PSC. They shot last month--which I was forced to miss--and they had to cancel due to weather the two months before that. If I'm not workin' and it ain't stormin', I'll be driving down to Pearland first...Charles will never let me live it down if I don't; and besides, without me the SOs don't get as much practice calling procedurals.
So it will still be late afternoon before I can get there. Maybe on htxred's list of things we plan to bring we should now include our expected arrival time so you'll know if you may be missing some key items at certain times?

I wish you had skipped the part about STI bringing guns to shoot. I may be sorely tempted and momma is getting tired of me needing more gun cabinets for more guns.
Oh well, I guess I will make it anyway.
I will see you on the 26th if not before.

Ha Ha Ha, now that we have all had a little fun at my expense, I just have to know, HTXRED, is that a EMP in your pocket or are all 3 inches just happy to shoot with me? And Tracy, if you are available tonight, the range needs to be swept again!

The Sanford family has accomplished something amazing: they have opened a new indoor shooting range in the heart of Harris County. One of the three most populated counties in America.
And the facility is beautiful. Six-inch oak beams, wood floors, and wood tables where you can sit and talk a while. Not to mention excellent shooting lanes with a state-of-the-art air-conditioning system.
Folks, you gotta come to Shiloh next Saturday, April 26.
