This may not help you much if you don't want to drive more than 10 minutes, but there's a range off Hwy 31 just west of Tyler and of course there is the indoor range Lock & Load on the southwest side of the Tyler loop.

Lock & Load has gotten a bit pricey lately, but I suspect they are just trying to put the range on a firm financial footing. The range off 31 is private, I just paid $125 for the year and they give you key to the gate. You can get the info and pay the fee at Noonday Gun Trader off hwy 155.

I 'm aware of Lock N Load in Tyler but wasn't aware of the private range. With the price of fuel being what it is :mad5 , I may have to shoot in the commode.

Thanks anyway.

One other thing, the range off 31 has IDPA matches on the second Sat each month -and you don't have to be a member of the range to shoot those matches.
