The Clear Creek Gun Range (The one between League city & Dickinson) was (about 20 + years ago ) a pretty nice range. It had trap & skeet plus a country doubles range and rifle and pistol ranges. It was never a swanky place and I always have a problem with charging for both per shooter and per gun . The owner was a nice guy who when he retired spent his early retirement years improving the range and taking a personal interest. As he (and all of us as well) aged he took more time off to travel with his lovely wife. She has since died and he leased the range to a third party. The skeet fields are vacant & I never felt at home with the new operators. I have always hoped that someone would take over & run it like it was back then. With all of the new home construction in the area I doubt that will ever happen. But we sure had some fun times back then.
