They have a 100 and 200 yard rifle range there and you can shoot any target you have. No rules about human shaped targets or limits to rounds in your mags. The catch is... it's also a private club. I only got to shoot there because it was venue for the carbine match. If you know someone that is a member, I believe they can take you. I'm not.

depending on the next couple months i might join this one ... it looks like a winner

Simply a joke. Have you actually read what you've written? First it's one thing, then another. I can't believe that I've spent all this time trying to help you. I even said I wasn't trying to be rude, just tell the truth. Sorry it's not what you want to hear.

killerfly128 wrote:Could you be less stupid? seriously .... I see no reason to not shoot at human shaped targets other than politically correct garbage. I really would love to hear why the shape of the ink on a target matters so much. What ever the reason ... if i am shooting a FMJ bullet at a target its gonna do the same thing that it would if i were shooting at a pie plate or shoot n see target.

oh and if the reason is "well you might mistake the target for someone downrange .... thats moronic ... if you cant tell the diffrance at 200 yards you need to stop shooting distance. I dont see why i chouldnt be able to shoot at a "man or tombstone shaped target" because some idiot shot at someone.
You are really entertaining today, and you actually proved my point about wasting my time. Actually, all of your assumptions about the silhouettes are incorrect. Hope your personal attack makes you feel better, though. In the meantime, please chew on the following the following:

1. Yes, I COULD be more stupid. I could spend more time trying to help you and tell you the truth about local facilities. I could also spend time explaining the no-silhouette rule, but I perhaps another member of HCRPC will be willing to help you out.
2. I'd recommend you don't join HCRPC. I seriously doubt you'd like it. In fact, you'll hate it. You've given two reasons why you won't join...so please forget everything I said to talk you out of your reasons.
3. Thanks for calling me stupid. After looking at your posts for about five minutes, I see that you've posted your wedding picture, place of employment, email address, age, approximate location, phone number, and financial condition. Why don't you post your SSN on here while you're at it? After reading some your posts, I wonder if you've put a gallon of milk on layaway recently. God forbid I try to give you advice that would save you some cash. But, I'm the stupid one, so you don't need my advice.
4. I've gone as far as I will go with you in the public forum. Mr. Cotton runs a respectable site here, and I've already pushed the line with what I've said. I want to stay on his good side. This site should be about respectful information sharing, which I tried to no avail. You've made that pretty darn hard to do. :waiting:
5. Should you choose to continue this dialogue or sling some locker-room insults about my mom or the size of my gun, please private message me. Then you can call me anything you want, and then I'll bat your intellect around like a cat toy before systematically dismantling your arguments, insults, and everything in between. But not here, we must be respectful in public. Therefore, no more replies from me on this thread, regardless of what you say from this point forward. Looking forward to hearing from you privately, be sure to bring lots of IQ with that testosterone, as quick victories are no fun. :thumbs2:

I'm sure you think you are being quite clever and professional, brewster, but you are seriously overreacting and that milk comment was just plain petty and uncalled for. :nono: Killerfly128 is entitled to his opinion, and if anyone is coming unhinged just because someone doesn't agree with them, it is you.

I think I'm going to continue shooting soft point for the time being. The price difference really isn't that different, and I do most of my ammo purchasing online anyway...

On a seriouos note, I am very curious why this particular range does not allow human shaped targets, etc and would appreciate any explanation provided.

Please PM me and I'll be happy to explain. For others on this thread, notice how asking a question respectfully gets a respectful answer. Saying people are stupid, that rules are moric and and stupid without asking respectfully for an explanation gets you nowhere with people trying to help.

That goes for the one-sided pile-on lecturers too. You know who you are.
