Today I learned that shooting ranges aren't nearly as much fun as a few good friends and a large backyard with a berm at one end.
Ok, so where can I get a house out in the middle of nowhere and still have a reasonable commute to the northern central DFW area?

Have you watched Hickok45 on YouTube? Dude has an impressive setup on quite a bit of land in Tennessee. It helps that they have hills there (I live in Houston). I'd love to have some land like that too. I'd go broke buying ammo though.

Re: Woo!
Land directly north of Dallas is kind of expensive, but there is a bunch of it all the way to the Red River.
Land isn't quite as expensive east of Dallas - Greenville up to Bonham.
Either way, you are probably going to have to drive 45 minutes to an hour.
I bought some cheap land up in OK but it is a 2 1/2 hour drive for me.

45 minutes isn't that much worse than what I've got now, but an hour is pushing it, at least for a daily commute.stroo wrote:Land directly north of Dallas is kind of expensive, but there is a bunch of it all the way to the Red River.
