Ranges in the Temple area?
Moving to the Temple area this summer (I'll be about a 5 min drive from Scott and White). What ranges do you guys use around there? I'd like to shoot both pistol and rifle at the same range if at all possible.

Weber's in Temple has a range.
Re: Ranges in the Temple area?
there is webers in troy, outdoor range they do charge 15 a hour i believe. the one in briggs mentioned. the ones i like and i live in temple are both a hour away one in Pflugerville outside of austin called reds Is indoor range can set targets out to 100 yards they are 14 a hour Also Chandlers Gun Range (outdoors)where my chl class was is about a hour away outside of waco area they charge fifteen dollars a day to shoot. all above gun ranges do have rental guns to rent as week.
Temple and waco do have there own gun clubs but there is a membership cap on it and not taking new members

If you don't mind the drive....I would look up Central TX shooting range in Waco, TX.
it is a private range that is $120/year and you can go all day anyday it is open for members only.
go check up their website, very good range if you want to get a good practice in without it being overcrowded.

I've used Webers in Troys recently, both rifle and pistol ranges. Not a bad setup, I like it and its fairly close to Temple.
If anyone in the area wants to go shoot, send me a PM.

Be careful if you go to Weber’s. I’ve shot there a few times and enjoyed the “lay back” attitude. Then I realized that on weekends, there was no adult supervision. Young studs, well under 21, running the range. That includes paintball, skeet, pistol, and rifle. Gangster types shooting, including the shot guns on the pistol range, and too many accidental pistol shots fired. Accident waiting to happen. I quit going. Haven’t shot my 9mm’s in several months. Need to try another range.

Reds in Pflugerville is pretty nice and although they charge by the hour which I always pay for 2; you can generally finish your ammo without them saying a word unless there are a lot of people. Overall a nice range, I used to live close to Temple.
