Pull your own trap - public range in greater Houston?

#1

Post by GrandmasterB »

Anyone know of a public gun range in the greater Houston area that has a pull your own trap/skeet? I am not interested in organized station skeet games or organized trap or even sporting clays for this outing. I just want to take a friend and pull our own birds and shoot at our own pace, as long as we want to. If you have ever been to Alpine range in the DFW area, think how they have several pull your own trap throwers -- that is what I am looking for.

The only place I know of that fits the bill in the Houston area is Bailey's, but they are closed on Mondays. Anyone know of other options? I sure wish PSC had a pull your own trap thrower. I have been a member there nearly 10 years and it is a wonderful range, missing only this feature to be 100% perfect in my opinion.

Thanks in advance for your help.

ASC in Houston has that. And you don't have to be a weight lifter to pull the handle back on the thrower, like at Alpine.
