Shooters Station in Conroe

Is the $275 annual membership at Shooters Station a good value for the money? Doing the math, it only takes 23 visits to break even. That sounds pretty good for someone like myself who likes to shoot and believes that it takes regular practice to keep up your skills. Does anyone know of other ranges in the Houston area that have annual memberships?

PSC (Pearland Shooting Club) http://www.psc-range.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; is located between Friendswood and Alvin, on FM 528.

The annual membership is about $150, plus tax. There's also an associate membership for other members of your family, for about $50 (maybe), plus tax. (You can most likely find the actual, correct amounts on the web site.) The only difference in privileges is that an associate member can't bring guests and allow them to shoot.

My wife is the regular member; I'm the associate.

Phil Oxley's "The Impact Zone" (north of 529 off Kerr Road, about midway between 290 and I-10 near Monaville in Waller County) is another membership range that caters to action and defensive shooters. http://www.theimpactzonerange.com/
