Had a great time at the range today...

My son and I hooked up with Excaliber at Dallas Pistol Club and enjoyed about 2-1/2 hours of shooting together. Good fellowship. Good fun. Good results.

I emphatically agree!

Thanks again for the opportunity and camaraderie.

I like to see the young ones seeing real men have fun.
Good job gentlemen.

Well that "young one" is approaching 19 years of age now, but I did start him out when he was about 6-7. Going shooting with the guys (and sometimes the girls, too) has been a big part of his life all along. Now he's got his own 1911, AR15, and .308 bolt rifle, and he's a very good shot with his 1911.

His "dream date" is a girl who likes to shoot 1911s. His biggest fear is that she'll shoot better than he does. :smilelol5:

Oh, and when he was looking for a car to buy, he settled on a white, lightly used 2003 Crown Vic detective's car, with spotlight, blacked out grill, and all. Then he set about improving the horsepower to weight ratio a bit, since we all know those Crown Vic cop cars "have no motor."

Yep, he's pretty much into the manly things.

...not that I'm proud of him, or anything like that...

I sure wish there was a range somewhere around Rusk and/or Jacksonville. Having to pay $4.00/gal for diesel takes a lot of the fun out of it and cuts down on the ordinance.
