I built an FN-FAL recently and, although I can drive about 40 miles to get to Alpine, they don't allow FMJ ammo and it's still only a 100-yard range.
FMJ Surplus Rifle Friendly range in Mesquite. 200 yd range, too

http://www.geocities.com/gibsonoutpost/ I just found this place about 2 months ago. I had no 100 yd ranges to shoot fmj. MAGNETIC ammo is allowed!

http://www.elmfork.com/ says their 100 yd range opens Aug 9th. I want to call to verify that they allow fmj (whether magnetic or not magnetic) so I can go shoot there. Do not assume your ammo is not magnetic (if you ammo steel or bimetal surplus ammo it probably is magnetic). If store bought probably not magnetic.

Pass along the website to your FMJ buddies... I have a buncha friends w/ ak's m1 mauser mosins and all the old guns who do not have anywhere to shoot the fmj at 100yds. Now they do. Gibson's.

I live in Frisco, too and have to drive 45miles to Gibson's If Elm Fork allows fmj non magnetic I can shoot my mausers.

it is too late to be typing coherent posts about this stuff.

Magnum in Sanger goes out to 200 yards, and they don't care what you shoot. No full-autos, but pretty much anything else is allowed.

There is a private range on 54 acres just across the border from Collin county in Fannin county. It is just off of 121 on the way to Bonham. It is up for sale. It has a 500 yard rifle range, pistol range and room for a 900 yard rifle range with plenty of space for shotgun setups. If you or someone you know is interested email twier@airmail.net.
