Today was Grounds and Rounds day ,$10.00 from 10 am till noon and it was a full house.
I guess I'am going to have to get there when they open to get a lane now.
But I got the wife to go which is rare and she did good with the 92fs for the first time firing it.
Always a have a good time there and the coffee is good.

Trust me, with our bunch of shooter's NO ONE is going to stop ANYONE from bringing a bbq pit! As a matter of fact, we may just try to do that soon. How would everyone feel about having a CHL Forum meet and greet BBQ on a Monday when the range is closed to the public? Sound good? Give me some feedback, let us know how many are interested. To all of our customers, thanks again for your support and for being part of the miniscule percentage of CHL's that actually practice.

I'll be there, and I'll do everything I can to support it.

Maybe a bring-a-dish thing, or a donate-ammo thing where everybody brings a commercial 50-round box to swap.

Besides, I was Jeff's training partner at Farnam's advanced course this month in Victoria, and I'm sure he'd like to beat me up some more. He probably got the biggest laugh out of watching my Bushmaster have an out-of-the-fight double-feed, but that's another story...

Shiloh is a great range, run by great people.

We need to support it every way we can.

All right guys, BBQ and meet and greet sounds like a go to me. Just give me some input on whether a Sunday evening or a Monday evening would be preferrable. Nguyen, we are going to have to host this when you are not in town as we want to make sure that everyone gets to eat...: Skip, I'm looking forward to re-uniting, just no more disarming techniques please, I'm still sore from your ninja-like attacks and cat-like reflexes. Ngoc, we look forward to shooting with you as always. Please make sure to load your trunk with bricks and stop abruptly at every light!

I'll be there and support any way possible. Bring meat, cold drinks, sides, whatever. Sunday is better for me being you've asked. Being I work in Porter and usually don't leave until 1715 hrs, makes it difficult, but not impossible!

So i was talking to jeff today and we're really liking the idea of firing up a pit and having a little TxCHLforum gathering at Shiloh on a sunday afternoon/evening giving the members a chance to meet, socialize, and shoot of course.

I want to get the ball rolling and get more ideas, if any and feedback so that we can make an official thread and get everything set in stone for about 2 weeks from now.

i would offer a grill but mine is a bit small (i live in an apt with a small balcony) but i can provide burger patties and some good ol fashioned dogs.

anyone here got a good sized grill they would like to to drag out and use for the occasion. i think we can get a few volunteers to maybe get there a bit early and help setup and cook and then the rest of the members who would like to attend show up later, giving everyone a chance to socialize without having to worry about burgers burning away to the size of a nickel. im sure everyone has tons of stories to trade and share, so lets 'git r dun'....

but of course, whats a meet and greet at a shooting range without any shooting, bring your weapons and be sure to NOT shoot the hangers (or lines). lol. this has success all over it.
