South Houston Range Recommendations?

#1

Post by The_Shootist »

My usual Teaxa City range is closed to the public this weekend as some National Guard troops get some trigger time in prior to an overseas deployment.

But, it getting into the 70's - and if it doesn't rain - i'd like to get some practice in this weekend. Anybody recommend a range for non-members South of Houston?

You may want to check out Baily's House of Guns, near the corner of FM 521 (old 288 - right next to I-288) and, I think 2234 (McHard road?- not sure). Probably in the phone book. They have a gun shop and range. I've never shot there but have bought reloading supplies there.

Best of luck.

Bailey's

I shoot 2 matches a month there. Last weekend I had too much time on my hands.

See you at the range
NRA Life, TSRA Life, USPSA Life, Mensa (not worth $50 per year so it's expired)

I've been Bailey's. Its not that bad. The only down side is that they only have 25yds for pistols and 100yds for rifles. But the rifle range is still MUCH better than American Shooting Center off by Hwy 6 and Westheimer.

Marksman by 45/monroe

you can google Marksman shooting range, and you should be able to get some information. They've been there for a long time, great people, and you cant beat $8/shooter

I'm looking for a range in the South Houston area that has some pistols to rent so I can try a couple revolvers out before I buy. Anyone know of anything?
It is better to be judged by twelve than carried by six. But if you eat enough ice cream, you might have to get 12 guys to carry you.
