Indoor Pistol Ranges near Arlington
I usually go to the The Shooting Gallery Range in Ft. Worth at I-820 and Lancaster, but today it was closed so I went to DFW Gun Range. I was not impressed with the customer service, nor the price, although the facilities were pretty good. I really like the range in Ft. Worth, but it is quite a drive. Is there an indoor range closer to Arlington?

Have you checked http://www.wheretoshoot.org ?
I think we are just about limited to 2 places to shoot around Ft. Worth. I live in North Ft. Worth and work in Arlington so if you find a good place other than the Winchester Gallery please let me know. Alpine is ok in that you have 15 ft or 25yrds and NOTHING in between. I would really like the 10-30ft range as I really dont plan to pick anyone off at 25yrds with my Airweight 642 or Ruger SP101. Im sure they would get there without a problem (especially the 357mag) but I really dont think I will find myself needing to protect my life at 25 yards to often LOL!! I wished someone would through together a top notch place in the Southlake, Keller area!

I use "The Shootin Place". It is located south of Fort Worth in Burleson. Head west on Wilshire. It only has 6 lanes but the staff is very friendly and the facilities are nice

Might want to check out Bullseye in Duncanville. It's OK - I can't put up with the staff out at DFW Gun Range and Alpine is usually really crowded and sometimes I just don't want to do the outdoor thing. Bullseye is a good compromise - the facilities aren't as nice as DFW's, but the staff are pretty laid back and definitely don't feel they need to impress everyone with their SpecOps/SWAT/007/Gecko45 stories before allowing you to pay (*coughDFWcough*), etc... Give Bullseye a try and let me know if you like it...

There is also a place on 28th st 1 blk west of 35...on the south side of the road (left side coming from 35) I think the fee is $9 for 2hrs. Very nice ppl and the sticker price on thier items are flexable.
Elk Castle on 30 at cherry lane has friendly staff too. The main thing I dont like about that place is they dont allow reloads.
+1 for Winchester Gallery

I am a member at the Shooters Club. I took my CHL course there, and bought my XD 9SC from them. All the employees are very nice and seem very knowledgable. This is the only shooting range I have used, so take what I say with a grain of salt. There are only 8 pistol lanes, and they're not terribly deep(approx. 20 yds). However, I've never had any problems with over crowding/inexperienced shooters, and the prices are very reasonable. I try and make it out there at least once a weekend(Sundays are my favorite).
