Could be an arsenal, depot, or unit rebuild, with a replacement stock, because the original was damaged.
Yup pretty common to get different era stocks.

FYI aim surplus is selling mosin nagant stocks 3 for 50bucks. Kind of a grab bag, could get pre war, post war, arsenal markings, etc

Oh, I have a feeling they may multiply. I might pick up a Chinese Type 53 for a trunk gun. I hear they're pretty rough, but that's ideal for something to rattle around in the trunk all day.

Oh yeah they multiply got my first earlier this year and now I've got 3 91/30 one is a sniper one and ex sniper and 1 m44
And I'm already looking to buy more, get a Finn and a type53
