I work a job that is commission-only in the ticket sales market, (Texas Rangers mostly) and the sales, to say the least, have plummeted... thus I have to wait for income to send in my application....

Turned 21 today, going to take my CHL class tomorrow and the next day with Larry Bartek... Didn't want to waste any time. :mrgreen: :woohoo So... how hard is the test? I'm planning on bringing notebook and pencil and taking notes on everything that I can, but I'm assuming that it's not a cakewalk...

I would make every attempt to get my family out of harm's way without firing - if the situation escalated to the point where I felt that there would be shooting, I will be the first to pull the trigger.

If I am second, that's one dead that didn't need to be.

Thanks for the reply, Brewster... there is no sign anywhere forbidding firearms, nor have I ever signed anything or seen a policy regarding firearms... it's a small non-profit organization, and there's no law making it off-limits for CHLers. What if your employer has a no-weapons policy but you have never been made aware of it?

My current company may or may not have one - I really don't know. I'm not wanting to ask... if I carry and have not been made aware of this policy am I in violation or not?

I grew up around guns and have always known that as soon as I hit 21 I would carry... that desire grew much stronger since I am going to be married before long - I want to have the ability to protect her from anything that comes our way!
