Big Town Gun Show.....no CHL?

Ok, I'm not a big gun show guy. However, my son and I went to the Big Town Gun Show today to look for an H&K SL8-6 that I've wanted for a while. So, I get to the front door and it says "No Loaded Guns.....this includes CHL". Have I missed something? I don't remember them discussing thi...

Re: Off Shore Carry?

In a situation where I'm off shore, I'd want to know if I could carry my AR-15. Due to the issues of pirates and drug dealers, I'd want more than my pistols.
I'd be guaranteed to be out-gunned in a situation like that.

Re: Woman shot in the face at Northpark Mall on Friday night

DALLAS — A woman was shot in the face Friday night while fighting off a carjacker at NorthPark Center. The carjacker escaped and was being sought by police, who were combing the area by air and ground. Witnesses said the victim managed to drive her pickup truck to the front of the mall between two...

Woman shot in the face at Northpark Mall on Friday night

I'm still waiting for the details. The reports are just coming in. I'll post them as I hear more. Apparently, a woman was fighting off a carjacker, when she got shot in the face at Northpark Mall in Dallas. I was supposed to go there with my family tonight, but we elected to stay in Rockwall and go ...

Re: Handcuff's

Handcuffs sound like a lawsuit waiting to happen. Your handgun being pulled states that you are in fear of losing your life and you are protected for using it. Handcuffs state that you were no longer in danger and were detaining someone (you must put your gun away to use them). This goes back to my...

Re: Why you need more than one weapon

Remember, as they say in the military.....

Two is one and one is none.

Plan on your gun breaking. It will. Whether it's at a good time or a bad time is anyone's guess.

Re: Carrying while waiting on renewal(expired)

Without your plastic, you are not legal. Even if you are a qualified CHL carrier. If you leave your license at home, you cannot carry your gun with you.
The plastic goes wherever the gun goes.

Re: What to do if someone spots yer...

While you obviously should never impersonate a LEO, you should take a page out of their book. Don't go cheap with your equipment and carry your handgun in a careless manner. I also have my Galco belt on with a very nice Galco holster. With the way I carry my gun, I could possibly pass as an undercov...

Re: Rockwall Toyota - 30.06 Signs

Good thing I just bought a Chevy! :) I live in Rockwall and this may be the first time I've heard of
any business being posted in this town (I'm sure there's more, but I sure haven't seen them).

Re: Pictures Of Your Daily Carry

I just bought the P7 (which is one generation newer than the PSP) for $799 IN GRADE-A condition.
Contrary to what was said up above, H&K no longer produces the P7. They canceled production 1-2 years ago.

The gun however, is incredible and WAY ahead of it's time!

Re: Friend stopped by DPS and scolded

The fact of the matter is, the police and local authorities are there to protect us. Their job is already a difficult and dangerous one. It is our duty to make the officer 100% at ease when he deals with us. We don't need to do anything that will make the officers look unfavorably towards CHL'ers. M...

Re: Friend stopped by DPS and scolded

If I get pulled over I give the officer my dl and chl regardless of whether Im carrying or not. I know the law says I am not required to do so but I would rather the officer find out from me instead of finding out when he runs my dl for wants/warrants. I can think of no good reason not to inform th...

Re: Disarmed

While I do understand the rational behind leaving your gun on the console or dash of your car (because you are trying to be honest and give full disclosure to the officer), in a lot of cases, this actually makes things more difficult for you (and the officer). My good family friend who is a former l...
