Before mounting anything to a phone pole, check with who ever owns the pole.
If it's owned by a phone co.
they may not allow you to mount anything to their pole.

IMHO, pulling up and seeing activitiy/signs of occupation require law enforcement intervention. No sense in backing into a buzzsaw.
