Re: Utah SB 36 - Signed by Governor

I welcome debate on the issues. I will not respond to ad hominem.

Re: Guess Who Supports Burnam's HB356!

HB 356 is a common sense law that closes an unintended loophole ... This statement alone makes me against this bill. I know its "common sense" just like all other anti-gun laws. Burn, are you a member of "tacky" (TACCI)? I welcome debate on the issues but who I am is unimportent...

Re: Utah SB 36

Why does everybody think this Utah law is so great? Recognition of non-res licenses for Texas residents may not have been the direct intent of the Legislature, but it IS the law in Texas. HB 356 was introduced this session to clarity legislative intent, and ensure Texas residents are properly train...

Re: not allowing students with weapons to attend his classe

I think the professor has an interesting point, and it might be one we need to consider for Texas' campus carry laws. As a general rule, the professor controls his classroom, much like the judge controls his courtroom. He can make rules on such thinks as skateboards or calculators or cell phones. T...

This statement alone makes me against the bill. It is a typical hogwash statement.
You have the right to be wrong and the First Amendment right to show it openly without a license.

Re: ACTION NEEDED: Hearing on Anti-gun HB356

The CHL law has many requirements in place that limit eligibility for a Texas CHL. The Texas Legislature put those requirements in place intentionally. They were no accident. I don't think I would be going out on a limb if I said the reason the Texas Legislature created those elibibility requiremen...

Re: Utah Problem - SOLVED

The new Utah law will prevent the Utah problem from increasing but doesn't solve it. At least not for 4 or 5 more years. It also doesn't stop similar problems with other states. That's why I urge you to support HB 356 and solve the problem this year and for good.

Re: HB750 & Reciprocity

Yes, HB750 does limit campus carry to Texas CHL's including non-resident Texas CHL's. I bet TexasCHLforum Members can guess why this provision was added to this session's bill. I urge all gun owners and concerned citizens to support HB 356 to move toward a similar standard statewide. Colleges are a...
