Do we want to talk about Christianity in the 1400's-1600's? Dislike for Muslims simply because of the religion is pretty elitist. And hypocritical. Can we think of any religion that hates Christianity simply for being Christian? This rhetoric sounds familiar. I would suggest that you familiarize yourself with the differences between Islam and Fundamental Islam.
Or don't. Just understand that what you said is offensive to some, and making broad generalized statements like that can lead to hot water.
