The quote is, "A lie left unchallenged becomes the truth". This applies to the many massive lies and the many little mis-truths that the general community, and the anti's have about guns, gun ownership, and concealed carry. Tom feels that untruths that are left to fester eventually become seen as the truth. I have no doubt about that being true!

Please refer to my entire post as I do say I can understand and agree with him. His point on it being your mistake is that if you have not taken steps to prepare yourself, and your family, for the possible dangers in the world, then that is your problem and not his.

My point on that matter was that everyone will react differently, and I won't hold it against them.

You can download most, if not all, of the old GunTalk shows off of iTunes, as podcasts. I download them 20 or 30 at a time. Tom's daddy was Grits Gresham. You might want to Google him. I have a first edition book called Grits on Guns, that was signed by Grits.

My only real bone to pick with Tom is his stance on being a sheepdog. His feeling is his only job is to get himself, and his family, out of the danger zone. If you are not smart enough to have learned how to protect you and yours, then that is your mistake. He does, however, envision some scenarios where he would intervene. I absolutely understand where he is coming from. His philosophy is that there are more ways for something to go wrong than there is for it to go right. He is so right...but I am not sure I can walk/run away if I might have prevented suffering. However, I respect his stance and the job he does to further gun rights.
