I would bet a six pack that Colt doesn't manufacture the knives. They either sub it and slap their name on or, more likely, license their name.
Tass: Not shops like Hobby Lobby but for building or repairing your own computer. If you can figure the size, call first and save some gas.

Re: pocketknife repair
Do you know the size? If the local hardware store doesn't have them, try a computer or electronics hobbyist shop. They often have small screws (T6, etc.) for laptop and cell phone cases. Another option is knifekits.com but you would have to buy a bag of 25 and pay shipping.Tass wrote:Help...I need to find replacement screws for the belt clip for a 4" colt folding knife. To date I have tried: Home Depot/Lowes, Ace Hardware, gun repair shop, gun shop where the knife was purchased, automotive parts store, watch repair and yes-the manufacturer-they are no longer in business and do not have replacement parts.
I picked up a new gerber knife at Gander Mtn. and I don't like it...doesn't fit my hand the same-lighter weight (will they take it back?). Mostly i'm being stubborn and want MY knife.
It'd be nice if stores didn't have them all in blister packs so I could heft one and see if it feels right.
Suggestions for finding itty-bitty replacement screws?
