Re: TX: Seguin man holsters gun discharging into his testicle
I am a member of McQueeney Gun Club and was there yesterday. The other unfortunate result of this incident is the RO told me that drawing from holster is prohibited for the foreseeable future. This really bites as it was nice to be able to practice drawing from concealment there.

Re: Texas A&M Campus Carry - Seeking Insight
Following up with our experience on campus, of the buildings that I listed in the OP that we did visit, no signage or issues whatsoever.
To add, I am extremely happy that my daughter chose A&M over UT. Campus is really nice and the people there are great.
She will be in good hands!

Texas A&M Campus Carry - Seeking Insight
My daughter will be attending Texas A&M College Station this fall and she and I are heading there next week for her New Student Conference. I am seeking any specific knowledge from anyone who has either spent extensive time on campus or even better, works on campus. We will be there for 2 days a...

Re: Compact 45 for concealment
Another fan of the Shield .45 here. Picked up one before Christmas and it is taking over as my primary EDC. May displace my XDm 45 3.8 Compact, which is a sweet shooter. Allons, where do you shoot? At the bullet hole and Nardis gun club sometimes, the new one on NW side. Went to Blackhawk yesterday...

Re: UT Austin - Question About Prospective Freshman Visit
Intercollegiate athletics are no longer automatically banned unless posted 30.06. However, I would not carry either, because a (inadvertent) violation on a campus is a Class A, not a Class C like a regular 30.06. Thank you for the reminder of Class A for 30.06 violation on campus. I had forgotten a...

UT Austin - Question About Prospective Freshman Visit
Let me preface this question by saying I have thoroughly read UT Austin's campus carry policies and understand about most of the excluded areas. I have signed up my daughter for the Prospective Freshman Tour & Session for later this month. I will be attending this with her and have concerns if i...

Re: Pellet Grills
Another RecTec 680 owner here, I echo what most have mentioned before about temp consistency. Another thing to consider with the RecTec, it has a 40 lb pellet hopper, which is larger than most others. This played a major role in my decision to go with RecTec, other than those chrome bull horn handle...

Re: Class A Misdemeanor - Judgement "Set Aside"
Someone may correct me if I am wrong, but I recall that there are certain offenses against persons that are permanent disqualifiers for LTC regardless of deferred adjudication. Perhaps you could share what your offense was?
