Re: Let the countdown begin
At noon ET one year from today, 1/20/2017, the next President of the United States will be sworn into office. To the current occupant of that office I say "good riddance!" and enjoy your retirement. :thewave SA-TX What makes you think his replacement will be any better? The Democratic and...

Re: Original SOE-Customer Service Warning
People either hate John Willis and OSOE or they hate them...there's not much, if any, middle ground on the guy. I have an OSOE mag pouch and medical insert that I purchased (and still use) on the secondary market long before I learned anything about the John Willis business model, his background, an...

Re: My first red dot scope - questions
... A 50 yard zero for a red dot sight with no bullet drop compensating reticle (or at least, no appreciable bullet drop compensating reticle) is about perfect for a shooter of average skills out to 300 yards. .... Ah-so. Thank you everybody for the hand-holding and education! I'll sight it in at 5...

Re: Question about:B5 Systems Enhanced SOPMOD stock
I have a Magpul standard stock on of my Colt LE6920 and it doesn't provide a good cheek weld, so I'm considering a B5 Systems Enhanced SOPMOD stock. Can I simply swap out the Magpul and install the B5 Systems Enhanced SOPMOD stock without having to swap out or add, or subtract, anything else, like ...

Re: GT Distributers
I'll echo all of the favorable comments about the Dallas store. I put my name on the list for a Colt LE6920 in April and picked it up the first part of July. I bought a used G17 from them last week with 3 magazines and all of the usual goodies in the box for a great price. I'm a customer for life.

Re: Cabelas Allen "you're printing!"
A smart comment from one of the "gentleman" at the gun counter at the Allen Cabelas cost them a $3,000 sale two weeks ago. I had cash in hand and they had what I wanted, and then the goober put his two cents in. I took the money out of my wallet and then explained to him that his mouth rui...

This will be a small-scale deal to build up an out-of-the-box Remington 700. I'm looking to have resources identified as I begin the process. Thanks for the info.

I don't know if this is the best place to put this, but here it is...I'm going to begin the process of putting together a long range rifle and am curious if there are any specific recommendations for a rifle smith in the Dallas/Plano/Frisco area. I've never needed "formal" assistance with ...

Re: No fun whatsoever...
To expand a bit, I am thinking in terms of a transition from AR to shotgun, probably 870. An AR should handle pretty much anything from contact out to 300-400 yards if I do my part. As a trapped urbanite, I'm wondering how much I should realistically be concerned with anything greater than 100 yards...

Re: No fun whatsoever...
It's been a process putting the thing together complicated by health issues...long story. Again, the intention was to get serious with actually using it this year. I'd add that not having any experience with the platform made me want to take it slow as to not have to unlearn any bad habits when fina...

No fun whatsoever...
I'm normally a pretty laid back, fairly patient kind of person who tries not to let things outside my lane get to me and spoil my time on planet Earth. However, all of this AWB talk and associated craziness has really began to sour me on my AR. I'm a civilian, so I have no professional need for an A...
