I was told that my application was NOT IN THE SYSTEM
. The person I talked to was not rude, but showed no inclination to HELP or look further 
. I heard "It's not in the system" three times and finally said 'Thank you' and hung up.After getting some advice and help from my best friend
, I sent them an e-mail. I was able to tell them:1. I mailed it certified, return receipt
2. The date and time that it was signed for in their office
3. I had seen it as "Processing" for several weeks
4. I logged in with my SSN each time and could not log in with an incorrect one.
I never got an e-mail answer, but the NEXT DAY when I went to the website the status had changed to "LICENSE ISSUED".
It physically arrived at my house on Saturday, 2/3 ... and I had left for the TSRA meetings on Friday.
Oh well, at least I got it. 
I recommend sending it certified return receipt and following up on that on the postal service website.
