Anyone got one they can let go of? I’m starting a pistol build and sourcing a lower. Can meet anywhere in DFW.
Thanks,

Re: Bad Shoot
Is it possible that there are other specifics of this incident that may justify this shooting…sure? Maybe he had a gun on him that we cannot see; I’m not sure but I am quite certain that if there are such extenuating circumstances they will be revealed in a courtroom. However just looking at the foo...

Re: A REPORT ON THE FIGHTING CULTURE OF THE UNITED STATES NAVY SURFACE FLEET
I served aboard the USS Fitzgerald DDG62 in the 1990s. I am a plankowner having been among her first commissioning crew. We, the crew, helped finish the boat in Bath Maine at BIW and then conducted LOEs before her commission when we officially took command. We then sailed her round the east coast th...

Re: What now?
I haven’t taught a class since covid hit and you could say that my instructing has always been more of a hobby than a means of income. I do feel for those who rely on teaching for income, they will have to adapt to survive and having been through a couple of layoffs in my time…that is not fun at all...

Re: Contact shot, blast damage?
I will say this, that the reliability of a revolver is extremely comforting to me. I have always thought that the difference between a pistol and a revolver, in terms of reliability, is that a pistol may jam every so often while you are shooting, but you can clear the jam right away with proper act...

Re: Contact shot, blast damage?
I will say this, that the reliability of a revolver is extremely comforting to me. When I go to the range I always rent a private lane that allows drawing from concealment because I like to pull my carry gun from concealment and put rounds on target in its exact carry state that it’s been in. One da...

Re: Contact shot, blast damage?
I have been doing a lot of pondering about my edc as of late, that’s really why I brought this subject up. I have weapons with high capacity and I admit that they do have very compelling advantages in many situations but I also know that the elegant design of a revolver has some advantages as well. ...

Re: Contact shot, blast damage?
Perhaps contributing to Oswald's demise from Jacky Ruby's snub 38? Else it was a very fatal bullet trajectory through Oswald's abdomen. https://www.upi.com/Archives/1963/11/24/Physician-says-Oswald-lethally-injured-by-time-he-arrived/8181204553842/ Was that a contact shot? I was never able to tell ...

Re: Contact shot, blast damage?
This article should answer the question. So the residual blast can be fatal by itself it would seem. Craziness. Didn’t Brandon Lee die from blanks somehow? No, Bruce Lee reportedly died from an allergic reaction to a painkiller he had taken for headaches. Surferdaddy is asking about Bruce Lee’s son...

Re: Contact shot, blast damage?
Wow, these are some tragic and disturbing stories. I suppose “contact shot” is never going to be a good outcome for the recipient. It sounds as if the blast from say a snubby 357 contact shot would prove devastating beyond the simple ballistic effect from the projectile. I dug around the inter webs ...
