That light on the fore end will definitely keep your front hand out of harms way.carlson1 wrote:I changed my forend to a Magpul and added a Sure Fire underneath the forend. I added a Fast Fire on the top. I used slugs and "sighted it in from about 13-15 yards." These are a blast to shoot. I believe it is sufficiently for the truck and my hallway (if I don't grab the AR first).
Either load will put a definite hurt on the bad guy!!puma guy wrote:Took the Shockwave to the Range and ran 25 rounds through it. I shot 13 rounds of Spartan 2¾" 00 Buckshot and 12 rounds of Federal Flite Control LE #1 Buckshot. I used gloves for the first few rounds to get a feel for the gun, but it was a pain to reload with them so I abandoned that. Didn't really need them. I shot mostly with the SG at arms length in front of me just below shoulder height which seemed to be the best for me. I shot a few "aimed" with the butt about 8-10" in front of my face. I was surprised by the tight patterns of the Federal #1 buckshot in this short barrel, even at 50 feet. I shot mostly at 30-35 feet with both the #00 B and the #1 B. I was going to shoot at what I think is the 7 yard mark but I forgot to check at that range. I think for in close home defense I will use the Spartan 00 buck since it had a better spread at 30 feet. I wish I had checked at 21 feet. Recoil is not as bad as I thought it would be. The strap Mossberg puts on the forend is a definite help.
Spartan 00 Buck 30 feet
Federal Flite Control #1 Buck 30 feet
Federal Flite Control #1 Buck 50 feet
Great buys on both the scabbard and the Shockwave!carlson1 wrote:
Yes sir. I found the same scabbard in Ebay for 17.99 and free shipping. I first ordered from Amazon and found it on Ebay so I immediately canceled the order on Amazon. The Shockwave was won on Gunbroker for $310.00 no CC fees and $10.00 flat shipping.
Edit: After thought I wished the scabbard would cover the trigger though.
I got an email from Grab A Gun that they have them in stock once again!carlson1 wrote:A late birthday present from a church member, but my Shockwave will be at the FFL on Thursday. I hope the scabbard will arrive soon also. Plenty of Federal Law Enforcement (LE132-1B) and Federal Law Enforcement Hydra-Shoc Rifled Slugs. Thanks to Pawpaw for the information on the ammo.
puma guy wrote:My Shockwave in the Voodoo Tactical Scabbard. Need a short sling. I'll have to figure a way to attach the scabbard to the back of my front passenger seat in the truck. I have a case of Federal Flite Control #1 Buckshot shells to feed it.

That section deals with a rifle and a shotgun. This Shockwave is neither. It is a firearm, not a rifle nor a shotgun and is marketed as such.Jusme wrote: Texas penal code 46.01 section 10
I can't get it to copy and paste properly on my phone but further down in that section, it states than unless is is an NFL licensed gun it is illegal to possess.
