Re: Called out in church on my CC
He said that as a Steward of the church that he just wants to know where the guns are just in case or something like that. And then that was that. Sometimes I can see how folks get put off by a person being a bit of a Barney Fife. I have myself. But other times I am really pleased that folks take s...

Re: NS Canada: Homeowner charged after armed robbers enter his home
I suspect that the trafficking charge is telling. I'm not saying that I'm ready to move to the north but I'm skeptical that this is a charge levied against the average father of 2.4 kids suburbanite. There is plenty of room for abuse of power but I suspect that there is more to the story.

They'll be acquitted of murder because some version of negligent homicide won't be pursued. My best guess while being a very amateur fortune teller.

Re: NRA Doesn't Allow 1911's at New Classes
I am not interested in any "training" that prohibits 1911s. A class that prohibits any proven combat firearm is a non-starter in my book. Imagine the uproar if they prohibited Glocks. :smilelol5: Fidgeting with the manual safety on the 1911 is what keeps you from getting your trigger fing...

I'd get the grip right first. Doesn't require any dollars; ought to be done anyway; would fix the upward pressure issue if there.WTR wrote:He thinks it may be a break in issue.jason812 wrote:I haven't tried that but I wonder if they upward pressure on the mag is causing the problem.

Re: Question about Carrying Out of State
If you stay even one night in NY you are subject to an arrest and conviction for FELONY possession of a firearm. What every your reunion with your shipmates is worth to you, I doubt it is worth a Felony conviction. Find a spot in Vermont to Park your trailer and leave it and your firearms there. Al...

Re: Home defense: birdshot
IMO, birdshot meets the minimum criteria for self defense. You have a gun that will fire and you ought to actually hit your attacker. Beyond that, I think there are better choices for ammo selection. Just shooting and hitting your attacker will end the fight in most self defense encounters. However...

Re: LTC population Saturation Point
I think there was a thread on here somewhere about what happened to the crime map in some city in Florida when the NRA convention came to town. Massive decrease in crime because even the criminals had enough sense to realize they stood a much better chance of encountering armed resistance that week...

Re: LTC population Saturation Point
I don't think that even in a high LTC saturated situation, that everyone would suddenly draw, and begin firing, at others with guns in their hands. The large majority of people, are still going to seek cover, or a means of egress, for themselves and their families. I think that most of them will as...

Re: LTC population Saturation Point
Anyway, there was a process he had to go through to make sure he and any potential air marshals on the plane knew which seats they were in. That way, if something went down they wouldn’t jump up and shoot each other while trying to determine who the bad guy is. On the serious side, the Air Marshal ...

LTC population Saturation Point
The discussion of the USCCA Concealed Carry Expo reminded me of a conversation that a buddy and I sometimes toss around. At what point could a large LTC population become a bit of a liability to the LTC population? There is no real right or wrong answer. Just an interesting mental exercise. Scenario...

I wonder if the shirt was taken as evidence. Would be curious how much skin DNA would be left behind if it was grabbed. May be very little for all I know.
