Ditto. Grandparents have a farm in GA where I grew up, and parents had a place that backed up to 30+ acres of woods. Then moved to TX and became surrounded by neighbors, and grumpy ones at that, plus dad quit hunting and shooting, and thus the good life disappeared.74novaman wrote:bigmoney wrote:right now i'd love to just have anywhere to shoot other than a public range. weekly range fees add up. bout time to either buy land or join a club74novaman wrote:I'd love to have hickoks range! That too. Got spoiled growing up because my dad was a farmer. Now I live in town and have nowhere to shoot that doesn't require money.

Re: nutnfacny
This is the only issue I have. I'd like to know why ANY chl'er or computer jockey would need to train like this, on any regualr basis or not? How is his "get suited up" and run and gun in the desert going to prepare any chl'er for a realistic close encounter such as someone trying to car jack you or rob/rape you? It's not! Self defense training and hip shooting type training will help. You sound like somone who assumes that chl'ers are suppose to take the place of military or law enforcement. His "training" might be fun, but I'm going to stick with real life - everyday self defense training for the average joe against a would be attacker, not GI trainging against insurgants.PocketGroove wrote:At least this guy practices and trains in a realistic manner that most CHL holders and computer jockeys/collectors will never come close to encountering.
All these guys are doing is gear/gun reviews and simply their training is irrelevant, and I presonally hope your rant made you feel better because it was useless. Hickok gives great reviews on functionality and practical purposes, Nutnfancy just jawjaps on and on about how 2 oz's makes all the difference and 2 extra bullets means the world to him. He has some decent reviews on things, but he's as dull as a soup spoon.

Re: hickok45
Of all the youtube reviewers, Hickok45's the best. I can't get over how easy it is for him to take a small barrelled gun and hit that gong rather consistantly. And you couldn't ask for a cooler range setup. You gotta love the great breakdowns and comparisons between similar guns, along with lots of ammo down tube. I used to watch the guy nutnfancy some, but all he does is sit there and blab on and on. I really liked his recent info video on the different size S&W frame sizes, i learned a thing or two there. Just an all around fun guy to watch.
