Re: Campus Carry: Why do we push the wrong issue?

It seems like we push the wrong issue on a lot of things, like the 2nd amendment itself.

Caution Rant Ahead:
The real reason for it (2A) and why it is timeless and will never be outdated or irrelevant is because first and foremost it is for defense against tyranny and oppression both foreign and domestic, including and especially our own government when they go to far.

No one wants to discuss that, instead we focus on secondary reasons like defense against crime, hunting and target competition/sports shooting. The secondary reasons are valid reasons but let us not lose sight of the primary reason it exists.

Meanwhile, the elite have convinced many sheeple into opposition of the 2A because they know that if they can get rid of guns they can do as they please and the citizenry would have little recourse against the armed government.

When they come for your guns to take away your ability to oppose government control precisely one of the reasons the 2A was created for and is historically the final act that sparked armed conflict in the Revolutionary war.

The other side understands the real reason behind the 2A, if we can get the sheeple to think in a broader true context of the 2A they might look at guns/gun control efforts differently.

Without Rant:
Yes sometimes we push the wrong argument. We often let the other side control the argument and focus. We must make the right arguments.
