Re: Rethinking EDC

Things have changed in the past year. The world has woken up and realized that the sheriffs that have always kept the peace (US presidents) are nowhere to be found. In fact they have figured out that the newest one is out back golfing, enjoying a smoke, and could not be bothered by what they are doing.

Our borders are open and terrorists from many shades and philosophies (ISIS, various drug lords) have figured that out.

Now do I recommend OC of rifles to common citizens.......not yet.

However I would recommend having them available.

I would also recommend churches, synagogues and other larger venues take a look at their security. You are not going to stop a firebomb, but if it is a rifle attack, that can be stopped. I would also plead with our LEO's to wear their vests. When and if anything happens they will have big targets painted on their backs.

Also I plan to keep close to home on Sept 11. These guys are killers. If you can't, please be wary. They apparently have a thing for this day.

Re: Rethinking EDC

Even those of us this far away are very concerned. I am home 85% of the time. I worry for my husband who has to work down town and can carry no more than a small pocket knife at his job.

I tell you what, this has changed my gun buying plans a bit. I never intended on owning anything more than handguns and shotties. I now see a possible need for heavier armament. Especially considering the eunuch we have in the presidents chair.
